【Johor】Warung Zarahman, famous Malay Stall at Masai with the super spicy nasi lemak.

Masai lama, a small town in District Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Johor.
Transportation hub that the locals must trough while went to work, back home and buy thing.
Locals lived here and studied here since they birth , and lot of the shop operating here for many years ago, accompanying the growth of many people.
As the times progress, the house roof and wall has became mottled, but the Masai people’s friendly and hospitable are still remaining.

Next to the Masai Petron, is a Malay food stall that has been in business for many years.
The stall is without signboard, all locals call it as “nasi lemak beside petron”, but the stall has a name, that is Warung Zarahman.

It should be obvious from the picture how unremarkable is his appearance.
However, there will be crowds in their shop every day during business hours. No matter whether it is weekdays or holidays, the nasi lemak is almost sold out early, and you can’t eat the nasi lemak if you are sleeping late!

When you walk into the store, you can see the pos area and meal preparation area first, and then the seating area.
The take-out service is semi-self-service, which is to go directly to the meal preparation area to queue up and order food.
Find a seat to sit down, the waiter will come over to order with you soon if you are having there.

In fact, these food stalls without menus are almost the same foods to sell, if you are not confirm, you may ask the waiter.
Anyway, eating in Malaysia rarely stomps into trap.
I ordered fried chicken nasi lemak with an egg and a cup of Teh Tarik(milk tea), and my friend ordered sambal chicken nasi lemak (ayam merah) with an egg and a cup of Teh Tarik.

The worker was preparing fast, they serve our beverages less than 5 mins after ordered.
The bubbles on the Teh Tarik is a sign that the tea had been pulled.
The more the bubble, the more times to be pull.
Pull to tea not only for cooling the tea, but mixed the tea, sugar, water nicely, and the tea also becomes smooth.
While we’re chatting, our nasi lemak also been served.

There is coconut milk fragrant come out while the nasi lemak served.
The rice is not sticky, but grainy, and very complementary to fried clove fish, peanut and sambal.

When eating nasi lemak at different stores, you will taste sambal sauces with different cooking methods, some are sweeter, some are spicy, and some are sourer.

From the chicken skin, the fried chicken can be seen to be crispy fried. When the skin is slightly removed, the meat inside is still shiny, which shows that they have a good grasp of the time of frying.

After cutting the fried chicken, you must excited to see the juicy meat。
When you eat it, the meat fragrant spreads out of your mouth, crispy outside and tender inside, not too greasy. Really tasty!
